Trailing arms connect the rear knuckle to the vehicle body and prevent unnecessary forward and rearward movement of the back wheels. Most OEM trailing arms are a simple steel design that use soft rubber bushings and minimal or no adjustment provisions.

On a performance vehicle suspension setup and alignment are critical. Alignment settings and suspension movement have a direct impact on vehicle weight transfer, acceleration, braking, steering and grip. Megan Racing rear trailing arms are designed specifically for high performance vehicles and spirited driving. By using spherical joints and hardened rubber bushings instead of soft rubber, these trailing arms limit unwanted deflection of the rear suspension which keeps alignment settings precise, resulting in a better handling vehicle.

In addition to providing a more solid support for the rear suspension, many of the Megan Racing Trailing Arm applications are adjustable length. This adjustability means that you can fine tune the Caster (and toe in some instances) angle and "pre-load". Increased caster can increase overall vehicle stability in high speed situations, while "pre-loading" your rear suspension can improve acceleration and reduce wheel hop.
